Dave Forsberg

SD91 School Trustee Candidate

Dave Forsberg has been a resident of Fort Fraser for 29 years. Along with his wife Alana, they have raised their 4 children and foster children on their third generation family farm.

He has been involved in the farming and ranching community, the logging and mining industry, and has been in contract vegetation management throughout various areas of the province.

Dave is also a singer-songwriter and recording artist with music on e-platforms such as Spotify and iTunes. He is known locally for his Country and Contemporary Christian musical performances.

He has a passion to see children raised and taught in a healthy environment in which parents have the primary role in the direction of education, with a focus on academics over ideology.

Three of their four children have graduated through the public school system, with their fourth enrolled in home education. Dave remains connected to public education through their foster daughter and an interest in the future education of the next generations, including their new grand-daughter.

Dave looks forward to the opportunity to serve as a voice for fellow parents in the role of a school board trustee.
